Animation Shop
by admin on May.28, 2007, under Photoshop
Made a quick animated gif for a friend today. It is a HXC (hardcore) head movement.. and it is awesome. I took the video, opened it in windows movie maker and I found a good section of the video to work with. I used window smovie maker becasue you can easily move one frame at a time. And then the button right next to the skip frame is a snapshot tool. So I go a frame and take a snap and so on. Import the pics in Animation Shop 3 and I had this gif.

Adobe After Effects – Shoot Yourself
by admin on May.09, 2007, under Video Editing
Since the Light Saber video I made a few weeks ago I have been wanting to try again with something more interesting, so I made a video of me shooting.. me.. with a “gun” (coughairsoftcough). The sounds are from a halflife source goldeneye mod. The blood splatter is terrible, but the muzzle on the pistol isnt too bad. I used a tutorial on metacafe to add the muzzle flash. (that video is embedded below the one I created) I also Used another tutorial from Youtube to learn how to mask it so I can have 2 videos merged into one to duplicate me.
Here is my creation:

KFC – The Dance
by admin on May.09, 2007, under Video Editing
Using Adobe After Effects and the all powerful Windows Movie Maker, I added a bucket of KFC to this mans hands, so he has something to dance about. I know there must be a faster way of doing this, but I basically had 1300 keyframes and hand made each one for each frame since the guy moves so much so fast. When I figure out how to make smooth movement Ill make a tutorial but right now I am experimenting.

Light Sabers – Using Adobe After Effects

Using Adobe After Effects you can make add in a light saber to your video. It is a pain, and I am sure there is a quicker way.
Here is what I followed:

Here is a 2 second clip I made: (This was my first attempt at this software ever)
Also, since I was alone, I just made a good/evil version of myself, which I used a different tutorial to make that happen:
*edit* I cannot find the original tutorial I used, but this looks similar:

Adobe Photoshop CS3 Tutorial – Emo Arm Cuts
by admin on May.02, 2007, under Photoshop
This tutorial shows how to use simple CS3 tools to make a very reailstic picture. You can of course use your imagination and not work on placing cuts on an arm.
In the video, if you see things appear out of nowhere, its probably just copy/pasting going on. The original cut picture is posted below. (I just googled cut)

I have an original arm file as well, but I recommend taking a pic of your own with something of yours in the backdrop so people can connect things. I will post the original arm as a comment to this entry (It is a large file).

This category is for photoshopped pics/tutorials.
For photo manipulation, I use mostly Photoshop CS3, but also Jasc Paint Shop Pro with (Animation Shop 3 for gifs). A whole lot of Ms paint, and Adobe AfterEffects for some things.
